Service Provider Type Report

The Service Provider Type Report enables you to view details about the Schedule Entries having an Entry Contact of the selected Service Provider Type, within the selected Date Range. The maximum date range is 31 days. The report includes information about any horse and attendee allocations on the Schedule Entries.

For example; you could choose to view all Farrier visits within the last month, or all visits by your Feed Providers in the last two weeks and so on.

The Service Provider Report is accessed from the Reports screen. Click the Reports item on the main menu.

Click GO TO REPORT on the “Entry History by Service Provider Type” Report item:

Alternatively, if you are already on another Reports sub-screen you can select the Report from the Reports sub-menu:

Stable Manage displays the Entry History by Service Provider Type report screen. Click the Service Provider Type item to begin:

For this example I have selected Veterinarian:

Select the date range or leave the default values of the last 31 days:

Click DISPLAY OR DOWNLOAD REPORT to see the Report options:

Stable Manage displays four options:

The DISPLAY SUMMARY REPORT option displays a summarised version of the report on screen, with all Attendees and Allocations rolled up into a single row:

The two DOWNLOAD EXCEL and DOWNLOAD CSV options will download a file of the respective file type, each of which includes an identical detailed report.

The detailed report contains the following columns:

  • Activity Type
  • Activity Sub-Type
  • Activity Status
  • Activity Date From
  • Activity Start Time (hh:mm)
  • Activity Duration (hh:mm)
  • Entry Contact Summary
  • Allocation Type
  • Horse Stable Name
  • Horse UELN
  • Horse Show Name
  • Horse Residential Status
  • Horse Activity Status
  • Owner Contact Summary
  • Attendee Summary
  • Staff Contact Summary
  • Activity Notes

Where a given entry on the report has allocations (either attendees or horses), there will be a row per allocation.

Remember that an allocation can be; just a horse, just an attendee (person) or both!
Where there is no horse on an allocation, the horse related columns in the report will be left blank – this is normal.

Display XLS or CSV

RESET clears the form so that you can start over.

What is the Horse History report and how does it work?

The Horse History report is a tool, which can be used for multiple purposes such as; an input to invoicing your clients, a source of data for the progress of each horse over time and a single point of reference for the activities of each horse. A horse is scheduled for activities on the Allocations screen.

A step-by-step guide to generating a report follows, including how you can download the report as an Excel (.xls) spreadsheet or a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file.

We have chosen Excel XLS and CSV files because both can be imported by almost any spreadsheet (office) software on any platform; Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android..

For the example I will use a horse called Barkley at our fictional yard Taylor Dressage & Eventing.


In the simple schedule below you can see there are a number of repeating activities to which Barkley has been allocated:


We will view a Horse Schedule History report for Barkley.

Access the Horses Screen

From any screen in the system, click on the main menu and select Horses


Select Horse History

Identify the horse you are interested in and either, click the horse’s stable name (Barkley) or select Horse Schedule History from the horse action menu (cog icon) on the right hand side.


I select Barkley and Stable Manage loads up the Horse Schedule History screen.

By default the system will display the most recent month’s worth of activities that are on his schedule across all activities.

Stable Manage displays a popout form where you can tick or un-tick the activities you are interested in. For the sake of our example I have left all activities selected (ticked).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Activities can be used to fine tune the report you wish to generate, for example you might select activities influencing client invoicing, health, training and so on.

Select a Date Range

A Horse History report can contain a large amount of data so we recommend limiting your selected date range to something manageable and relevant to your needs. For our example I have selected a single month.

Click FROM and select the start date for your report. I have selected October 1st:


Click TO and select the end date for your report. I have selected October 31st:


Generate and/or Download

Optionally you can click DISPLAY REPORT to refresh the simplified version of the report displayed by default on screen:

Note the HORSE DETAILS information displayed at the top of the screen. As well pertinent information about this horse, this also includes the yard where the horse is resident, owner contact summary and the horse’s residential status. In our example Barkley is Full Livery.


At any time you can click the DOWNLOAD REPORT button to open the download menu, where you can select to download the report for the horse, activities and date range currently selected. The download options are an Excel (.xls) spreadsheet or a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file:


Your web browser will either download the report directly to your default downloads folder or it will ask where you wish to save the file. The file is named: “<stable name>_<from date>-<to date>.xls/.csv” by default.

This means that we have the following report file name downloaded: “Barkley_2015-10-01-2015-10-31.xls” in our example.

When opened in spreadsheet software the report appears as follows:


The data in the report can then be used for whatever further purposes you wish, such as accounting, invoicing or data analysis.

Update and a major release!

Things have been a little quiet from us while we have prepared for the new release of Stable Manage which we deployed this morning. The release includes the following changes:

Invoicing Report

You can now download a spreadsheet report (Excel or CSV) of the activities for any horse during a time period of your choice.
The spreadsheet can be imported into external accounting systems or could used directly to assist with invoicing.
This will be of particular use to trainers, livery yard owners and breeders, or anyone needing to see what has happened for a given horse across a period of time. For example, how many farrier or vet visits the horse has had, how many schooling sessions and so on.

Look & Feel

We done the first part of some major visual improvements to make Stable Manage easier to use.
For example, you will find menus that are easier to find and a more consistent look and feel throughout the system. We’ll be rolling out more improvements over the next few releases.

Other Minor Changes

We’ve added facility types dedicated to “land”; for example trekking trails, beaches and fields.
You can now record height and weight of attendees, which will be of interest to riding schools and tourist focused riding centres.

We’ve fixed several small bugs too!
